View the Oct. 13 town hall forum
Consultants for the state Board of Regents described several proposed efficiencies for the state universities, then answered questions and took comments from the Iowa State University community during this Oct. 13 town hall forum. It was the third such forum held on campus as part of the regents' Transparent Inclusive Efficiency Review (TIER).
Representatives of the regents consulting firm, Deloitte Consulting, presented eight "business cases" for possible implementation at Iowa State and the universities of Iowa and Northern Iowa. The business cases are in the areas of information technology, human resources, finance and facilities.
About the review
The Iowa Board of Regents selected Deloitte Consulting to conduct an efficiency review of the three state universities. The consultants are looking at administrative and academic operations with the aim of maximizing resources, improving efficiencies and containing costs.
